Gua Sha Face Before and After
The earliest written records of Gua Sha History in China, probably in the Yuan Dynasty. In the Qing Dynasty, Guo Zhizhen wrote the first scraping monograph “Swelling Yuheng”, which made a detailed discussion from the pathogens, epidemics, performance, classification, scraping methods, stone gua sha tools, and comprehensive treatment methods.
Modern science has proved that scraping can expand capillaries, increase secretion of sweat glands, promote blood circulation, and have immediate effects on wind chills caused by high blood pressure, heat stroke and muscle aches. Frequent scraping can play a role in adjusting the gas, relieving fatigue and increasing immune function. For the most important function of sputum, modern science is still unacceptable. The scraping spurs the meridians and acupoints of the human body surface by scraping the sputum, which can regulate the air, smooth the collaterals, and promote blood circulation and block. The evil spirits of the meridians are solved from the table.
But! Providing free scientific research on the meridian: Yu Shutang, a scientist, studied the corpses of 10 fresh adults from a morphological point of view and observed the branching and anastomosis of the blood vessels in the back tissue. The results showed that the cutaneous arteries in the dorsal region were anastomosed, forming longitudinal and transverse vascular anastomoses. This study provides vascular anatomical data from the dorsal region of the trunk and provides an anatomical basis for scraping therapy.
Earlier written records were written by the Yuan Dynasty doctor Zhi Yilin in 1337. The word “痧” has evolved from “沙”. The earliest “沙” refers to a disease certificate. Scraping makes the body’s scorpion venom, that is, the pathological products in the body are effluxed, so as to achieve the purpose of curing the phlegm.
